2020-2021 Executive Council
Ashley Maus is our 2019-2020 ASDA President. She has been heavily involved within her ASDA chapter since D1 year, assisting in Give Kids a Smile, Youth Tooth, volunteer events and fundraising events. She has attended national and annual meetings each year where she enjoys networking and meeting new colleagues. Her favorite thing about ASDA is having the ability to expand her knowledge and create some amazing connections and friendships over the years.
Ashley currently serves as the Chapter President and a member on the Presidential Council for District 5 ASDA. She is the liaison and over sees/organizes all of the community service events that LECOM has conducted for the last 2 years. Her past positions have included the chapter Secretary, District 5 Communication Chair and Liaison of Community Service and Fundraising within the chapter.
Kasim Naqvi is a third-year dental student and LECOM ASDA’s Vice President. Last year, he was LECOM ASDA's Membership Officer as well as the representative for the Class of 2022. He was born in England, but spent the majority of his life in Texas, considering himself to be a true Texan at heart. Kasim obtained his Bachelors of Science in Biology from the University of Texas at Arlington in 2015 before starting at LECOM School of Dental Medicine in 2018. He is very excited build new relationships with patients in his D3 year and make a positive impact in their lives. Kasim has a strong passion for helping his fellow colleagues take advantage of the fantastic resources that ASDA provides. In his spare time, he enjoys working on his car and participate in various car communities in Florida.

Amelia Crawford is a third-year dental student from Panama City, Florida. Amelia has been actively involved in ASDA since her first year at LECOM and has served on multiple committees since joining. As President this year, she hopes to continue to build on the work of her predecessors in going for the gold. Amelia enjoys being a member of ASDA to keep up with current legislative initiatives in organized dentistry and to continue her development by networking with dental students and professionals.

Victoria Carroll is a second-year dental student and our 2020-2021 ASDA Secretary. She grew up in Jacksonville, Florida, and graduated from Florida Atlantic University with a Bachelors in Biological Sciences and a Business Administration Minor. Victoria has been an active member in ASDA during her D1 year and also served on the Give Kids a Smile Committee. She worked for two years as a Pediatric Dental Assistant and has hopes of continuing her education to pursue a career in Pediatric Dentistry. Victoria looks forward to serving as this year’s ASDA Secretary to get other’s excited about what ASDA has to offer and to benefit the future of this organization.
Josh Graham is a second year dental student at LECOM from Winter Park, FL. He is currently serving as ASDA Treasurer. Josh attained a graduated FSU majoring in Biological sciences and attained a Masters in Medical Science from LECOM in 2019. He has been involved in ASDA since becoming a member during his first year acting as the D1 class rep. His hobbies include lifting weights (with the boys), kayaking, reading, long walks, and wakeboarding. Josh’s favorite ASDA events include bowling and the biweekly Dinner and Dentistry meetings.
Nafees Zaman is a second-year dental student and our 2020-2021 Membership Officer. As a Florida native, he was born and raised in Kissimmee, FL, and attended the University of South Florida, in Tampa, where he received his Biological Health Science degree. During his spare time, Nafees loves to work out, play sports and binge watch movies/shows. He is very excited to help plan events for incoming D1s and anticipating to build more connections in the field of dentistry.
Michelle Felden is a D3 Class Representative who has been involved with LECOM ASDA since the beginning of her D1 year at LECOM. She was a member of the Predental and Community Service/Outreach Committees during her first year and has attended and volunteered at various events within ASDA, such as Days of Hope and Give Kids a Smile. This past year, she served as Chair of the LECOM ASDA Predental Committee as well as served on the Health and Wellness and Community Service/Outreach Committees. She also attended the District 5 ASDA conference in Orlando this past January. Most recently Michelle was elected as ASDA District 5 Predental Chair. She looks forward to serving others both within her LECOM ASDA community and on the ASDA District 5 platform this school year.
Kylie Dean is a third-year dental student from Westerville, Ohio and currently serves as a D3 Class Representative. She completed her Bachelor of Science in Biology at The Ohio State University before attending LECOM School of Dental Medicine. She has been actively involved within her ASDA chapter since her first year at LECOM, assisting in Give Kids a Smile, Day 4 Hope, Predental Day, and numerous volunteer events. She has been a member of the Predental, Community Service and Outreach, and Give Kids a Smile committees for the past two years and served as the 2019-2020 Community Service and Outreach Chair. Her favorite thing about ASDA is not only the countless opportunities for networking with other students and professionals, but also its dedication to community service. She is looking forward to a very exciting year ahead being on the new ASDA Executive Council!
Mariangel Fuchs is a second-year dental student and Class Representative for the 2020-2021 school year. She was born and raised in Venezuela and moved to Orlando, Florida in 2009. Mariangel attended the University of South Florida, in St. Petersburg, where she received her Bachelors in Biology. During her spare time, Mariangel loves to hangout with family and friends, work on her dental blog, do puzzles, and binge watch Netflix shows. She is very excited to help plan events, increase event attendance, and build many connections in the field of dentistry.
Ginie Friedl is a D2 student from Akron, Ohio. She went to undergrad at Walsh University majoring in biology, completed her master’s degree in oral biology at University of Louisville-School of Dentistry and moved to Florida for dental school in 2019. She is the Class of 2023 Representative for the LECOM ASDA chapter.
Ginie loves all the learning opportunities that ASDA offers including Dinner and Dentistry seminars and district meetings, which allow dental students to stay informed on current topics. She also loves the opportunities ASDA offers to give back to local communities especially with Give Kids a Smile. She believes ASDA is a great way to network and connect with other dental students who are passionate about their profession!
